How I Got Started
Hi! I’m Sunnye, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m guessing you found me because you’re wanting to make a change toward living a more wholehearted, intentional life of connection, balance and abundance. I get it. I was there too.
In 2008, I began to re-evaluate my life and priorities. I had worked in the technology industry for 10+ years facing many demanding challenges professionally along the way. A fast-paced and ever-changing industry, complete with global travel and rapid career growth had taken its toll on my life. At 32, I found myself emotionally and physically burned out. It took me another two years to come to yoga as a way to create space away from work and to reconnect with my life. A physical cry for help. Craving more depth and connection in my practice, I became certified to teach in 2013. But even that wasn’t enough.
Following the completion of my training, and again seeking deeper connection and purpose, I started teaching yoga at a substance abuse treatment center. It was there I was witness to the growth, expansion and reconnection that can be gained from working through life’s most difficult emotions on the mat.
As I went deeper into my journey, I began to realize the work that truly needed to be done was within myself. It was the unthinkable. It wasn’t the high demand job, or high demand relationships, or more time – it all came down to me and my decisions. To live with more connection, balance and the ability to be truly present, I had to break my old patterns and habits and find new paths to peace. I sought out research and methodology on vulnerability, shame, and healing. I began working with modalities of healing such as mindfulness, meditation and essential oils. All in the pursuit of transforming my life. Through this work, I started to shift in my core. Leaving behind ego, expectations and stepping more fully into the TRUE me. And learning just how fulfilling relationships can be when we are living our true self. To my amazement it was actually easy – as long as you know where to concentrate our efforts.
What started as a plan to do something for myself, became my life’s purpose. I now spend my time both professionally and personally building a healing and supportive practice that impacts others and puts them on their own path toward healing and connection. As someone who’s done the work to break down my own barriers, I know first-hand the effects having the right tools can provide towards living a more full, balanced and present life. It doesn’t have to be so difficult.
As a life-long learner and a healer deeply rooted in the holistic mind + body + spirit approach to living, I’ve since added these skills to my offering: Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, Certified Professional Aromatherapist, Face Yoga Method Instructor, Reiki II and more.
From my journey, I’ve developed a custom approach to help you live your best life. It doesn’t have to be as difficult as when you go it alone! The Thrive Mindfully™ system is a series of 5 steps designed to replace stress and old habits with mindfulness every hard-working professional needs to achieve balance, reduce stress and find time to reconnect with their deeper meaning and thrive mindfully.

How quickly can I expect results?
That answer depends on YOU. Some clients are ready to go and transition to a mindful way of life in a very short time frame, sometimes even a few weeks while others have a bit more work to do first. It depends on how authentic you are to the process, how open you are to the assignments and self-reflection and the time you spend really doing the work. This isn’t always easy work and requires some personal responsibility and unpacking to move forward in full, open and abundant way.
